I’m trying to evaluate GdViewer; been having a tough time importing the component into Delphi 2007. I'm trying to add a feature to our application that would just display a PDF file and the program would programmatically navigate to the applicable page number as the user enters data. My problem is that the PDF file is 1.8GB in size. It takes about 10 minutes for AcroPDF.DLL to load the file but I can open it in Acrobat Reader in a matter of seconds. Before I spend too much more time trying to import the component, I’d like to know if GdViewer is the right tool for this; can I open a file of that size without a huge wait or drain on resources?
