Display Progress

Postby drose on Thu Sep 18, 2008 10:30 pm

Is there a way to display the image in the GdViewer as it is being scanned, not just after it completed? Also, I would like to display a progress bar that fills up as the image is scanned. I'm thinking perhaps this would be the SetIndicators() function, but I can't seem to figure out exactly how to use it.

Thanks for the library, it has saved tons of time.

Hi Drose,

Very good idea but... Currently impossible :(

This feature is very hard to implement because it need that we rewrite entirly our image model in GdPicture.
Also, your scanner have to support buffered transfer mode thought TWAIN protocol (not all scanners allow that).

However, we already have this feature into the wish-list of the GdPicture technology and I hope we will be able to develop this kind of feature in a near future ;)

Best regards,
