Canon DR-2050C scanning and Compression support

Postby SSriram on Thu Jan 24, 2008 7:50 pm

We are using GDPicture Pro in our applications. When we scan from a Canon DR-2050C, it aborts with a generic error after the image is cpatured and stored in our application path. What we found was that this image is saved as a tif image, Windows preview tool can view it just fine, however the size of the image is: roughly 2.5MB (150 DPI/gray scale). Canon's own Capture Perfect 3.0 tool cannot view.

My question is: Does the type of compression matter? We do not see how to enable LZW compression for grayscale images from Canon's setup software. Is there some ways we can use JPEG(7) compression (supported by the Canon's drivers)
